Avior Lodge is a membership based cooperative in Thredbo Village, New South Wales. The facility was built in 1962 by a small but dedicated group of friends who shared a common interest in skiing. Since then, the membership has evolved somewhat but many of the original members are still active. Being a family based membership, many of the founder’s children have now become financial members and, already, the third generation of Avior members are starting to put in some turns. Importantly, the core of the membership base still maintains its founding principles – that of experiencing all the excitement that Thredbo has to offer (all year round) in a safe, friendly and mutually supportive environment.
